This Day In Music History: August 14th, 2015 – Neck Deep releases breakout pop-punk classic, ‘Life’s Not Out To Get You’

Let’s get two things straight here. Neck Deep’s Life’s Not Out To Get You is easily the band’s best album, as well as the one that’s far more consistent than anything released by Neck Deep before or since. 12-36 might be a bad set of numbers if you’re a running back, but for Neck Deep, it means they stuffed this record full of the biggest songs they had to this point.

Released on August 14th, 2015, it is indeed a classic. Hints of things to come abound on the emotional “December”, while “Kali Ma” and “Can’t Kick Up The Roots” deliver the kind of hooks and energy Neck Deep have long been known for. Run, don’t walk, to listen to this gem.
