Theoria Records metalcore newcomers Dead Days premiere new single and video for “Tombstone”

It’s hard not to be impressed by what metalcore newcomers Dead Days have accomplished in the first couple years of their existence. While the newly signed Theoria Records act come from a previous selection of notable acts (most notable, The Northern), they got their start just before the COVID-19 pandemic curbed touring plans for basically every band that wasn’t Trapt. Of course, that doesn’t seem to have stopped them. Also like many bands, they’ve used this downtime to write a ton of music, which is always the smart thing to do.

Already racking up almost 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify currently (again, an impressive start for a newly-formed band), they’re releasing a new song, “Tombstone”, this Friday. But guess what? If you’re reading this before December 10th, you get to hear it early.

Dead Days vocalist Don Tuer had this to say about the new single:

Tombstone is about how no matter what we do we will inevitably all end up in the ground. We have the choice to be a decent person and to stand up against those who mean us or others harm. Everyone has a breaking point and it’s only a matter of time before we push back. No one has power over us unless we give it to them. We are in control of our lives, and the choices we make decide our own fate. It is our choice to stand up against tyrants seeking control or else let them dictate our lives.
