As if 2020 couldn’t get any more weird – The Smashing Pumpkins has signed to the record label Sumerian Records, which is home to artists such as Asking Alexandria, Oceano, Poppy, Black Veil Brides, Born of Osiris, I See Stars, and more. Just from that little list of artists we just gave, you can already tell how vast in variety Sumerian’s roster currently sits. The Smashing Pumpkins are the latest additions to their ever growing roster. The announcement came along with 2 brand new songs, ‘Cyr’, and ‘The Colour of Love’. I don’t think anyone could have predicted The Smashing Pumpkins signing to Sumerian Records, but let’s see what the magic will bring! The Smashing Pumpkins was founded in 1988 and has found much success throughout their 30+ year career, releasing some of the 90’s most iconic albums – especially the alt-rock masterpiece Siamese Dream in 1993.
