The Plot In You surprise release heavy new song, “Divide”

With their older song “Feel Nothing” still going nuclear as far as new fans continuing to discover it, The Plot In You are likely to draw some sizable crowds on their upcoming headlining tour. Having released their most recent album last year in Swan Song, it’s a bit of a surprise that the band have a new song out ahead of said headlining tour, releasing it with very little warning. Or maybe it’s not, since logistically, it’s always nice to have a new song to support on a headlining tour. Who knows?

What we do know, though, is that “Divide” is pretty solid. Stylistically, it’s a rather riff-heavy song, though it also has a more melodic sensibility that the band’s two most recent albums have contained. So it’s a nice balance, really. It *could* be a standalone single, or it could also be part of a new EP or full-length, we’re not particularly sure. But it’s more than worth a listen, so you should probably get on that.
