Trevor Strnad, the vocalist of extremely popular metal band The Black Dahlia Murder, has passed away according to the band.
Strnad rose to fame as the vocalist of The Black Dahlia Murder, who continued to push the envelope in metal. Over time, the band became a massive draw for such an extreme band, with albums like Nocturnal and Miasma helping to put the band on the map. Over the course of nine full-length albums, TBDM was propelled by Strnad’s distinctive voice – that much is certain.
Rest in peace, friend.
The statement from the band reads: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad. Beloved son, brother, and Shepard of good times, he was loved by all that met him. A walking encyclopedia of all things music. He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.”
