Having released their most recent full-length in early 2020 and their Somewhere Beyond The Blue EP last year (the latter of which was a strong return to form), The Amity Affliction have been working on new music the last year or so. It appears that the Australian post-hardcore veterans have put the finishing touches on a new full-length, though, as stated by TAA’s Joel Birch.
Apparently the untitled album is the band’s “heaviest” to date. What that could mean is just about anything, though it’s even more unpredictable considering the band has swung wildly from melodic music to heavier moments over their last few record cycles. Considering the solid balance of both on their most recent EP, though, there could be something to this statement. Only time will tell.
