As the years go by, it’s increasingly rare to find Taproot playing shows. It’s not like the band has anything left to prove, of course. Their first two albums Gift and Welcome both went Gold, as they emerged right alongside bands like Linkin Park at the turn of the new millennium. Obviously, they have been pretty successful, with multiple album releases since then (2005’s Blue-Sky Research in particular).
Anyway, it’s been quite a long time since the band has toured in any capacity, or even played shows. However, the band has announced they’ll be reuniting at Blue Ridge Rock Festival in 2023 for at least one show. Could there be more? Possibly, though it appears this is a one-off right now.
