Coming from a place where deathcore isn’t all that common, rises a new heavy hitter in the genre. From Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the deathcore band Abyss of Gehenna hit the scene in 2021 and they mean business. The band has already released two singles taken from their upcoming EP, those singles are “Gluttony”, and “Treachery“. Abyss of Gehenna showcases fast-paced deathcore that evolves throughout the track building momentum that pays off each time. The upcoming EP is titled The Divine Comedy, and is inspired by the poem of the same name, and also has influences from the Dante’s Inferno video game. The EP is set to release on April 12th, 2022 via Reality Fade and Slam Worldwide. The band consists of four members. The guitarist, Matt, is the main songwriter that pulls from other sub-genres of metal. After the guitar parts are handled Murray will add his flavor to the drum tracks, once that is all done Bill lays down vocals. We are left pretty impressed with the music Abyss has presented thus far, and we look forward to uncovering more of their material when their EP “The Divine Comedy” releases!
