West Coast emo, indie, and math rock collide in Existential Split, a new split EP from San Francisco’s Damper and Oregon’s Slow Disco. The split drops May 1st via Old Press Records, but interested parties can also purchase the split at this location – and stream it below for a few days prior to its official release.
Fans of Snowing and Algernon Cadawallader will dig what both bands have going on, and considering songs like “Showed Up Too Late for the Emo Revival” show off a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and relatability (the song’s about the fraught but therapeutic effect of continuing to play music after 2020), we think you’ll dig the vibes both bands have.
