Slipknot pauses show to allow a fan in the audience to receive medical attention

Currently on their Knotfest Roadshow tour, Slipknot have spent much of the year on the road, as is customary for the band. While they’re currently prepping a new album for release sometime this year (and probably soon), they’re currently on tour with Cypress Hill and Ho99o9.

At a show on June 1st in Cincinnati, Ohio, the band was performing their song “Unsainted”. During the performance of the song, Corey Taylor noted there was something wrong in the crowd with a fan, and the band abruptly stopped playing the song (there’s video below). Both the members of Slipknot and the fans in the audience assisted each other to then make room for EMTs to negotiate the situation. Once the fan was shuttled out by EMTs, Slipknot then continued to play.

It’s actually the second time Slipknot have done this in 2022, and considering all the fallout from the Travis Scott // Astroworld situation, it’s always an important thing to note that safety in the pit is paramount.
