Last night our photojournalist Savannah Rowley had the opportunity to capture the Christian rock band Skillet, along with support Devour the Day and opener T.R.O.Y. at House of Blues in Orlando, FL.
T.R.O.Y opened the night getting the sold out crowd rowdy. Originating from Springfield, Missouri, Skillet mentioned it was their first time touring with the band and they had a lot of potential to come.
Devour the Day continued the night. Originating from Memphis, Tennessee the band is most known for their song “The Bottom” which plays on the Sirius XM Octane station. The band is currently supporting Skillet on their Unleashed Tour.
Then finally, what every fan in the room came to see. Skillet took the stage, opening with fan favorites, “Feel Invincible”, “Whispers in the Dark”, and “Sick of It”. The whole crowd was screaming and jumping up and down, even on the balcony fans were going crazy. With strobe lights in effect, and smoke rising up throughout the set, it was one action packed 90 minute set. Jen Ledger (drummer) even joined in to sing on stage during songs such as “Hero” and “Awake and Alive.” Closing the night with their most popular song “Monster”, with the encore off their latest album Unleashed, “The Resistance”. They left fans amazed at another amazing performance.
We can’t wait for the next time Skillet comes back to rock with us! You can follow Savannah’s socials such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep up to date on these photos and other events!
