The Wonder Years played their first headliner in 21 months in Providence, RI at Fete Music Hall. The Philadelphia based band were greeted by a sold out crowd. They brought three amazing bands with them as they began their travel through the northeast this holiday season on a small string of shows.
Kicking off the show was Proper, a rock band from Brooklyn, NY. Following up was Pronoun, another Brooklyn, NY band that played a selection from their emo-punk catalog. Future Teens came up next, a Boston based band emo-pop band. All of the bands put on a great performance and pumped the crowd up.

You could feel the excitement in the air as the Wonder Years came on stage and immediately jumped into their hit song “I Don’t Like Who I Was Then.” The band included a selection of fast-paced punk jams like “Came Out Swinging” as well as slower acoustic songs such as “You in January.” The show ended in the band playing “Cigarettes & Saints,” an emotional and powerful song that had everyone screaming the lyrics.
It is safe to say their first headlining show in almost two years was a major success.
