Show Review : All Time Low – Hollywood Palladium (11.11.2021)

Review and Photos by Jenna Doolittle

All Time Low, the rock band from Baltimore, Maryland took the stage at The Hollywood Palladium last Thursday night to bring us some of their new material as well as some throwback songs.

The band brought local Nashville Artists, Dan Swank (who also happens to play keyboard and guitar for All Time Low) and Kalie Shorr to open the show for them. Dan Swank played a stripped down set of some songs he’d been keeping locked away on his hard drive at home and some songs he co-wrote with local artists. Kalie Shorr, who grew up listening to All Time Low, brought a full band setup and helped get the crowd warmed up.

From the moment All Time Low stepped on stage they brought big energy and a great performance. There was the humorous banter between Jack and Alex, Zack with the giant hops on stage and Rian smashing the drums. They started their set with some of their newer songs while mixing in some of the classics like Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t), Weightless and Therapy, which were big crowd pleasers. They played their newest song PMA and a crowd favorite that hasn’t been seen on their setlist in years, Vegas. The band ended the night with their two biggest songs, Monsters and, of course, Dear Maria. The amount of energy this band gets out of the crowd is unlike any other. You had crowd surfers, mosh pits, people on each other’s shoulders and so much singing and dancing.

I’ve grown up going to see this band play and they never disappoint and for all the fans that grew up listening to them, the throwback songs they included on their setlist will bring back that 2010s nostalgia.
