Seattle post-emo outfit Dearheart have been delivering compelling music since their 2018 full-length landed them some quick attention. Merging the dynamics of post-rock and emo’s honest lyrics, the band’s newest single, “Second Best”, is sure to find even more of an audience this time around.
The video, directed by David Schmidt, can be seen below – we’re stoked to bring it to you. Of particular note, vocalist/guitarist Steven Denler is a professional mental health counselor, which adds a unique dimension to Dearheart. To put it rather simply, if bands like The World Is A Beautiful Place… or perhaps even Prawn are up your alley, Dearheart likely will be as well. The single itself was mixed Matt Bayles (Cursive, Foxing, Minus the Bear), which adds some star power to the relatively new and exciting act.
