Saltwound’s auditory violence takes hold on new single, “Fiend”

California is a hotbed for any music fan – especially those who enjoy heavy music of any sort. Metalcore? Orange County has you covered. Hardcore? Drain is a ? name to note right now. Deathcore and death metal? Arkaik, Fallujah, and plenty more big names abound.

Northern California’s Saltwound want to be part of the scene, too, and they’re already doing so. With a debut EP released just last year (the band has already racked up almost 80k stream on Spotify for one of the singles, which is impressive), Saltwound have emerged with a new single, “Fiend”. And yes, it goes just as hard as you’d expect. Lying somewhere between metalcore and perhaps something closer to deathcore, it’s hard to pin them down to a specific genre – but if you like heavy music, you will probably love what Saltwound has to offer.
