ROH World Title Match
Jonathan Gresham (w/Prince Nana) (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

A decent but shorter opening match that was for the world title. Claudio is being built as a main guy and Gresham, while he did defend the ROH belt in this down period of the company, isn’t exactly a fantastic selling point to base the company around. The match was fine with it being power vs technical but there was only one realistic way for this to go.

ROH World Six Man Tag Team Title Match
The Righteous (Bateman, Dutch & Vincent) (w/Vita VonStarr) (c) vs. Dalton Castle & The Boys (Brandon & Brent)

Not really a bad match but nothing good either. Even at 9 minutes it dragged and no one was really into it. The trios belt in ROH could use a refresh for sure.

2 / 5

ROH Pure Title Match
Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Daniel Garcia

Both guys work this pure style so well. I think Yuta can be a huge star in AEW and ROH because he can wrestle so well outside of matches like this too. Crowd was super into this as well, it had a nice pace and some close calls. Garcia just needs a bit more behind him other than being able to be a technical guy.

3.75 / 5

Singles Match
Rush (w/Jose The Assistant) vs. Dragon Lee

A very fun high impact lucha style match. Some crazy spots here and both are just so good in the ring. Lee moves around at such a speed and makes its all look like it takes no work. Rush has the size and power but the lucha agility too and could be a huge force in AEW / ROH.

4 / 5

ROH Women’s World Title Match
Mercedes Martinez (c) vs. Serena Deeb

Thankfully this didn’t feel like a 17 minute match. Good mix of technical vs power here. Crowd wasn’t super into it though. Mercedes is good, she’s just misused or underused more so. Deeb I just can’t ever see truly getting over. ROH needs womens matches this though, AEW doesn’t need the ROH belt on it.

2.5 / 5

ROH World Television Title Match
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Jay Lethal

Its good to see Joe back. This was a fantastic match between two guys with a long history. Good back and forth, a lot of close spots, and Joe overcoming Jays heel tactics. Lethal in AEW hasn’t really had a winning run or anything but it only makes sense for Joe to win.

4 / 5

ROH World Tag Team Title Best Two Out Of Three Falls Match
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (c) vs. The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe)

A match that deserved the main event spot. Two of the best tag teams in the world doing a 45 minute match that felt like a war that was always close and never boring. FTR pulled out all the stops here to put the Briscoes down and it could have gone either way.

4.5 / 5
