Rating: 4.5/5

So first and for most, I never really enjoyed this band. But this album made me a fan almost instantly. These gentlemen have found a style that works great in their favor. The mix and blend of vocal styles among the lyrics is nearly perfect.

Musically, this album is beautiful and compliments the vocals expertly. Being As An Ocean are a band that are soon to expand and explode far beyond they have already, which in every sense is insane. It mixes some really interesting spoken word songs that are a nice contrast from the heavier moments (although for all intents and purposes this is not a heavy album). Cover to cover, this is a record that has the potential to influence future musicians or artists to pick up an instrument. These guys have struck gold and are a name that will become common place.
