On a Friday evening Puerto Rican Reggaeton superstar Rauw Alejandro brought a sold out Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL to their feet.
With only 3 years of shows under his belt selling out an arena is no easy task especially if it is your first show in the state. After this show though its easy to see why Rauw isn’t just one of the genres hottest new names but will be a mainstay in the genre for years to come. Anytime an artist this new is winning awards including multiple Grammys is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed.
Not relying much on an opener for the show, Rauw keeps the stage for himself with a giant LCD backing screen, pyro, sparks, and a full back up dance squad. Never standing still for more than a few seconds Rauw had a crowd of 10,000+ people dancing in their seats with him while he blew through a set featuring songs from 2021s “Vice Versa”.
It has to be noted just how great of a dancer Rauw is as well with the love not only himself but his entire team puts into their choreography. Breaking his set into different parts to give the crowd breaks works great as well. Be it dance numbers, crowd favorites, or slower songs it gives the crowd an emotional and energetic rollercoaster to ride along Rauw on.
This tour is a clear indication of Rauw Alejandro becoming a massive star for the genre. This is a man that will set standards and be an inspiration for many new artists to come. Even if you aren’t a fan you’ll walk away impressed from the high energy level of this show. Don’t sleep on him now before hes doing several night stints in every arena or performing in stadiums.

El viernes por la noche, la superestrella puertorriqueña del reggaetón Rauw Alejandro puso en pie a un Allstate Arena de Rosemont, IL, con las entradas agotadas.
Con sólo 3 años de actuaciones en su haber, vender un estadio no es una tarea fácil, especialmente si es tu primera actuación en el estado. Después de este espectáculo es fácil ver por qué Rauw no es sólo uno de los nuevos nombres más calientes del género, sino que será un pilar en el género en los próximos años. Que un artista tan nuevo gane premios, incluidos varios Grammys, es algo que no debería pasar desapercibido.
Rauw no confía mucho en un abridor para el espectáculo, sino que mantiene el escenario para sí mismo con una pantalla LCD gigante de apoyo, pirotecnia, chispas y un equipo de baile completo. Rauw no se quedó quieto más que unos pocos segundos y consiguió que una multitud de más de 10.000 personas bailara con él en sus asientos mientras hacía estallar un set con canciones de “Vice Versa” de 2021.
Hay que destacar lo buen bailarín que es Rauw y el amor que pone no sólo él sino todo su equipo en sus coreografías. El hecho de dividir su set en diferentes partes para dar al público descansos también funciona muy bien. Los números de baile, las canciones favoritas del público o las canciones más lentas ofrecen al público una montaña rusa de emociones y energía en la que puede participar Rauw.
Esta gira es un claro indicio de que Rauw Alejandro se está convirtiendo en una gran estrella del género. Se trata de un hombre que marcará pautas y será una inspiración para muchos nuevos artistas.
