Extremely sad news to report. Gared O’Donnell, the guitarist/vocalist of Planes Mistaken For Stars, has passed away at the age of 44. The co-founded of the highly influential emo/post-hardcore band had been diagnosed with cancer just last year.
To realize what an influential band this is, realize that Funeral For A Friend actually got their name from a song by the band. That speaks volumes. It was clear, though, that he was well-loved.
