8 years ago, post-hardcore favorites Pierce The Veil released their third album, Collide With The Sky. While it was their previous album Selfish Machines that helped launch them a fanbase quickly, it’s the follow-up of CWTS that made the band in-demand superstars. And why not? The album, which featured notable guest vocalists like then-Letlive/current Fever333 + Pressure Cracks vocalist Jason Butler and Sleeping With Sirens singer Kellin Quinn, certainly ranks among crowd favorites in their setlists. The latter of which just managed to hit a huge milestone, too!
“King For A Day”, which features Kellin Quinn as a guest vocalist, has now been certified platinum. Originally released in 2012, the song was officially certified Gold by the RIAA for having sold more than 500,000 units in the USA, and 5 years later, it’s now certified Platinum for reaching the 1 million sold mark. Congrats to PTV and Kellin!
NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS would we have dreamt that this could happen, but “King For A Day” just went fucking platinum!! Thnx to the remarkably talented @Kellinquinn and everyone involved in the making of this song. PTV FANS, THIS BELONGS TO YOU and only you! Happy New Year!❤️?? pic.twitter.com/Pzal8Mtbo1
