Paramore hasn’t released an album since 2017’s After Laughter, by far their longest gap in between album cycles. Vocalist Hayley Williams’ solo material as well as the COVID-19 pandemic undoubtedly, got in the way of the band’s plans for new music. However, it appears we’re getting new Paramore music sooner rather than later.
The upcoming album, which is said by the band to be more “guitar-heavy”, has been revealed to be “finished” in a new interview + feature with mixing engineer Manny Marroquin. Marroquin has won multiple Grammy Awards on his work for the likes of Kanye West, Alicia Keys, and many more prolific artists.
It should be known, of course, that this info is unconfirmed by anyone in the band at this time. That being said, speculation is running rampant that a new single might well drop soon, especially ahead of their upcoming tour. And since Marroquin’s work on the upcoming album is “finished”, a fair timeline might be sometime this fall for a release date.
