Ozzy Osbourne chastises “antisemite” Kanye West for unauthorized use of Black Sabbath song, threatens legal action

Kanye West is coming under fire (shocking surprise, really) for his latest escapade, this time with an unauthorized sample of a Black Sabbath song at a recent event for Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s new album Vultures. West had asked permission to use the sample and was denied, but apparently went through with use of the sample anyway. Osbourne even labeled Kanye as an “antisemite” due to his constant public comments concerning anti-Semitic tropes, statements, and more.

In a statement on social media, Osbourne denounced the use of his music, saying:

Kanye West ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “IRON MAN” FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY. HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!

USA Today and MSN also report that the Osbournes are considering “legal action” against Kanye West for the use of the sample. These days, there is hardly a day that goes by where Kanye West isn’t embroiled in some kind of drama or controversy, and he recently championed Burzum’s Varg Vikernes – himself a noted antisemite. Incredible, really.
