Ozzy Osbourne has absolutely nothing left to prove. As the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath, he’s had an extremely successful career as a solo artist as well. And the festival that bears his name, Ozzfest, was one of the biggest annual tours in heavy music – helping give platforms to nu-metal, metalcore, and metal’s biggest acts.
Osbourne, unfortunately, is retiring from touring – and any future live shows appear to be scaled back due to health issues (if they happen at all).
In a statement, Osbourne had this to say concerning the cancellation of his European tour:
Osbourne has been touring and recording for over 50 years at this point. What more does he need to prove? Absolutely nothing. Obviously he’s a legend.
