Online Interview with Cody White of C.R.E.A.M Apparel

Cream Apparel is catching speed through their infamous clothing brand among multiple artists and local bands around the music scene. They’re making solid tracks across Florida as they attend events and pop-up their selective choice of clothing. I had the chance to speak with their founder and creator, Cody White, to discuss their unique movement and dedication to the brand.

Presenter (Sarah Lucas)

What does C.R.E.A.M apparel mean to you? Does the acronym stand for anything specific? How did you end of choosing this name?

Cody White

To me, Cream Apparel means family. And originally we got inspiration for the name from the wu-tang clan song “C.R.E.A.M.” We have never claimed the same meaning they use, we actually now have a true acronym. We are branching out and you guys are the first to officially hear it but it stands for Clothing, Records, Entertainment, Arts, Management. We plans on delving into all of those realms in the near future.

Presenter (Sarah Lucas)

What’s the history/culture behind this brand? Who helped you to bring it to life? Is this going to be a worldwide movement?

Cody White

Honestly Lakeland brought Cream to life, we just initiated it. The movement became very huge here in a small amount of time. It was like we were meant to be around, in a way. Our founder is Cody White and the co-founder is Rex Bohrer, but we would like to just say thanks to L-Town for all the support. And yes, we do intend on expanding on a global platform. It will take time, but Cream will be a household name in every major market.

Presenter (Sarah Lucas)

Where are you wanting to take it from where it started? (Essential goals)

Cody White

I’m planning on taking it to NYC by January of 2019. Rex will hold down the Lakeland branch until he decides where he wants to take it. But we are already online, and we will be shipping to the U.K. next! We are already working on the managing aspect, but once I go to NYC, I will probably be starting a label to work and produce under.

Presenter (Sarah Lucas)

Who wears CREAM? Is it fit for all ages or just artists? What do you currently sell – clothing wise?

Cody White

Anyone can wear Cream. Musicians do tend to represent it more often because that is where we have been very active (the music industry) but anyone can wear it! We sell all kinds of clothing currently. We sell Tee Shirts, Long-Sleeve Tees, Hoodies, Tanks, Crop-Tops, Dad hats, Flatbills, and beanies. Also, be on the lookout, we will soon be dropping distressed joggers and elongated Tees

Presenter (Sarah Lucas)

What makes CREAM different from every other brand that’s out there?

Cody White

What sets us apart is our hometown appeal and the fact that we do not charge extra for bigger sizes. We believe in equal costs regardless of what size you wear. I additionally believe we are different because we offer so much more than clothing. We have a team of artists that we sponsor and promote! We are an all-in-one movement.

Presenter (Sarah Lucas)

Are you endorsing any artists or bands currently? What would future clients do if they wanted to be sponsored or licensed by CREAM?

Cody White

We do endorse several artists! We currently have a pretty big roster but always looking to grow it! We currently endorse Nick Vuolo from Delineate, Nicolas Zayas from Nomadic, Ca$per, Leegit, Hunnid Band, King Jame$, Cadistrophic, Skitzz’d, Tazey, and Kutthroat. If you are seeking an endorsement from us, message our business page on Facebook.

  1. I’ve truly never met a team more committed than Cody’s staff at Cream. I recently attended one of the rap shows that they hosted, and it was absolutely incredible. Everything felt like home and I’m confident that this brand is going to be get huge at a fairly quick rate. Cody and Rex have this fire in their chest that I can’t describe. When I first met them, I could tell that they wanted this more than sleep. I wish them the best of luck as they aspire to create.
  2. Be sure to follow them on their social’s and if interested, cop some clothes! It was great speaking with Cody on behalf of his movement.
