There’s a new record label on the block, and it’s different from the rest.
Phil Druyor, vocalist of I Am Abomination, has launched a new label by the name of One Off. This effort aims to subvert expectations by being completely transparent in its business model by only signing one-album deals as opposed to the typical 3-5 album deals. On top of that, it advocates for the well-being of its artists with focus on mental health/addiction issues that plague the industry.
Starting a label isn’t an easy process, and Phil’s streamed its creation the past few months. He does so on a frequent basis, proving his commitment to the cause. But these things can’t just start off perfectly – he’s launched an Indiegogo with a full description of his plans for One Off.
Consider checking it out and throwing some money his way – this is a game-changing idea that could be huge in how labels treat their lifeblood.
