It’s been a pretty big year for Motionless In White. With the release of Scoring The End Of The World, the veteran band drew from all eras of their music, from the metalcore onslaught of “Slaughterhouse” to the more accessible fare like “Sign Of Life”. Undoubtedly, the band’s huge single “Masterpiece” is fast becoming one of MIW’s biggest songs to date. With an appealing modern rock sound that immediately brings to mind Breaking Benjamin’s “The Diary Of Jane” in tone and structure and massive vocal hooks, it’s really not surprising the song has been so successful.
And apparently, that success is still continuing. The song has now reached a staggering #3 on the Mediabase Active Rock charts, which tracks songs at Active Rock radio. “Masterpiece” is just behind Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach on the chart, and there’s a strong possibility the song could reach #1 in short order as well. Impressive any way you slice it.
Also something of note: vocalist Chris Motionless recently teased the possibility of a “back to basics” sort of tour, where the band plays heavy songs only and in smaller venues, so here’s hoping for that soon.
Masterpiece has officially reached #3 on the active rock radio charts! We cannot thank you all enough for refusing to let this song go away quietly. This is unreal. Can we make it to #1?! pic.twitter.com/tVYmILwOZY
