With a band name like Midsummer Dream, you’d likely expect said band to hail from a more sunny part of the country. And you’d be right. A newer band that bridges the gap between pop-punk and pop-rock styles adeptly, the Florida-based band have dropped a steady string of releases since 2018. For a newer band, they have a grasp of solid songwriting that’s more than just being catchy.
Case in point, the band’s new single “Rooftops”. It’s arguably Midsummer Dream’s biggest single to date, with impressive production and a really neat vocal performance that will keep you coming back. They really are one of the best-kept secrets in the scene. Remember how Magnolia Park blew up? The same could be in store for Midsummer Dream, just in a different way.
