This might come as a shock to many (*sarcasm*), but the chances are high that an artist of any sort is likely going to have interest in other forms of art or creativity, too. Naturally, considering most people listen to music in some form and also develop personal connections to said music, artists and creators may experience it in a way that has a profound effect on their creative output.
It also isn’t a surprise that Hideo Kojima – responsible for the creation of venerated game series Metal Gear and Death Stranding (to name two) – is into some very familiar musicians and bands. Already having hinted at some of his favorites in the past (Lorna Shore, Bring Me The Horizon, Slowdive, Low Roar, and more), Hideo Kojima revealed that he’s just like many of us – a noted My Chemical Romance fan. One wonders if he’d ever have My Chemical Romance contribute an original song to a future game, but considering Bring Me The Horizon and the late Low Roar have already, we can only hope.

I heard the news. I can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. Without Ryan, without you and your music, Death Stranding would not have been born. Your music will live forever in this world and in me. Thank you. Rest in peace.
