Mark Tremonti to release Frank Sinatra covers album for charity

Mark Tremonti is nothing if not prolific. Between his iconic tenures with Creed and Alter Bridge, as well as his namesake project Tremonti, the guitarist/singer is never one to shy away from a new challenge. And he’s just announced a new project that’s pushing his musical repertoire in an entirely new direction.

In a move few would’ve predicted, Tremonti is releasing a Frank Sinatra covers album, titled Tremonti Sings Sinatra, on May 27 through his new charity initiative Take A Chance On Charity. Proceeds from the album will go to the National Down Syndrome Society, to benefit their work supporting and advocating for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. This cause is deeply personal to Tremonti, whose daughter Stella was born with Down syndrome last March. Tremonti explained in the announcement of the project that he has long had a passion for Sinatra’s music, and that his daughter’s birth made him want to honor Sinatra’s legacy of giving back to worthy causes.

Tremonti recorded the 14-song album with surviving members of Frank Sinatra’s touring band. Along with the announcement, he released the first single, a captivating rendition of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”, which you can check out below!
