Lives Lost channel despair and loss into huge new single, “Numb The Pain”

It’s always interesting to see a new band or artist gain momentum. There’s something truly special about being able to witness a rising artist start hitting their stride – particularly when it’s from a musical perspective as well as a popularity aspect.

You can pretty easily label Lives Lost with both tags. A string of singles released over the last 6 months have given Lives Lost quite a bit of momentum. Now clocking in at 10k monthly listeners on Spotify, from a musical perspective they’re also really beginning to find themselves, and a sound that works for them.

Their new single, “Numb The Pain”, is a testament to what Lives Lost have been working towards for the last few years. It has just enough of a heavy edge to appeal to rock and metalcore fans, but it’s melodic enough that it’ll likely garner them a new audience. “Numb The Pain” certainly isn’t a pop song, though. The subject matter, in particular, is something that many people have struggled with. When very real events like death, heartbreak, and internal struggles affect us, Lives Lost ask the question – is it better to feel something, or to numb the pain entirely?
