Considering it’s been 3 years since Blurryface vaulted indie rock band Twenty One Pilots to arena status seemingly overnight (if you were paying attention, their story is the musical equivalent of Trust The Process), and their rabid fanbase now anxiously awaits whatever the follow-up to that album might be.
It should be no surprise, then, that a recent short teaser (which you can find below) has sent their fanbase into a tailspin. For those who follow the popular band closely, you’ll notice all sorts of fan theories from a fan-led Twitter account. It’s all very impressive the lengths people will go to discover the tiniest detail about their favorite band, but I digress.
The point is, the theories seem to point to a new song being released from the band on Friday, July 6th. How they arrived there is interesting enough, and you can follow it in the thread below. One thing’s for sure, though. When Twenty One Pilots do drop new music, everyone will be talking about it.
there are 7 dashes. seven days from now is july 6th, a year since the day the eye was closing. also, note the space between en and d. you can interpret this as fri and end being two different words instead of friend. friday = the end of the hiatus. july 6th is a friday. be ready. pic.twitter.com/g1BZFKQmIj
