I don’t mince words when I say Lionize is one of my favorite musical discoveries of the last few years. I didn’t know much about them other than that they’ve with Clutch multiple times – even going so far as to be on their record label.
I also won’t pull any punches when I tell you it’s going to be one of my favorite releases this year. I get the same feelings I did when I heard 2013 albums from Touche Amore, Daylight, and Erra, which is pretty good company. If you’re not familiar with the band, they play a fusion of different genres – but reggae and 70’s-inspired hard rock are the flavors that rule the Lionize sound.
