Do you like numbers? Statistics? Good, because same. As of July 14th, 2022, 317 music videos had reached one billion views on YouTube. Very few of those are in the rock or metal genres, with a handful of them being videos from bands like Evanescence, Guns N’ Roses, and other names you most likely know.
Two of these belong to Linkin Park, who reached the milestone in recent years with the videos for “Numb” and “In The End”, respectively. The band continues to provide catharsis for a new generation with the anniversary editions of their first two full-lengths, and their video for “In The End” has now reached 1.5 billion views on YouTube. Again, it’s a milestone not many bands or musicians could ever dream of reaching, and “Numb” is due to hit a staggering 2 billion in the coming weeks. Wild stuff.
Feeling this track pretty hard. Story of my life right now.
Every lyric resonates.
I miss Chester. His voice could cut though like no other. https://t.co/v31S1h5ooa@linkinpark #lost
