It’s been 20 years since Linkin Park released their debut album, Hybrid Theory. The album, which has sold 12 million copies in the USA alone, inspired and influenced a generation of bands – especially Of Mice & Men and Bring Me The Horizon – to release their own streamlined works.
Led by some of the band’s most iconic singles like “In The End” and lead single “One Step Closer”, it kicked off a career full of groundbreaking and important music that made a huge impact on popular culture, even as rock and metal continued to be phased out in the mainstream. It’s not for nothing that the album was arguably the most important rock record for millennials.
Undoubtedly helped by heightened interest in the band’s debut album Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park was the #10 most-streamed group on Spotify in 2020. The band’s success obviously doesn’t stop there – their iconic hit “In The End” reached one billion views on Youtube earlier this year, becoming the band’s 2nd video to do so.
Linkin Park was the 10th most streamed group on Spotify in 2020, with 1,5 billion streams.

In fact, the band’s catalogue on Spotify alone was streamed over 1.5 billion times this year, which is pretty monumental considering the band hasn’t released a record since 2017. Congrats!
