Linkin Park have been one of the vanguards of rock music for the last 20 years. While the band has racked up plenty of accolades over the years, their success isn’t just about nostalgia – it’s that their music rewrote the rules of modern rock music as we know it. And thanks in large part to renewed interest in the band and the 20th anniversary edition of their debut album Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park have returned to the Billboard charts in a big way.
Hybrid Theory, the band’s 2000 debut album, has crashed the Billboard charts – returning at the #12 slot overall. With interest in the band sky high thanks to the HT 20th anniversary edition release, it’s not a surprise, really. What is pretty neat, however, is that all 12 songs on the original Hybrid Theory album have now reached two BILLION streams on Spotify – proof that compelling music never goes out of style.
