No Peace Underground
The Negatives
Newport, North Carolina

A mediocre and somewhat sloppy opener. Some moves didn’t feel like they connected and issues including the tubes not breaking didn’t help. A very lackluster match.

Jimmy and Sawyer both bled pretty great here due to the gusset plates. Match had some pacing issues though and was a big sloppy during most of it. It had its moments and Sawyer held her own against Jimmy here. Would like to see this match again down the line.

Bam being hit with a pane of tempered glass was pretty gruesome. While this had its good spots the match, like the ones before it, was extremely sloppy. Tubes and panes of glass wouldn’t break, guys just stood there waiting in the open for spots to finish, and it just never flowed. With the guys here I expected something so much better.

The match had its moments for sure with one just looking insane and super unsafe. It just had some pacing issues and moments that looked super green such as waiting to set up the spot and visibly on camera telling each other what to do.

Putting Atticus in a non deathmatch match on a mainly deathmatch show makes little sense. This match dragged on as barely a hardcore match. It had its slight moments but never managed to gain and keep its momentum going.

A match for the ROH Pure Rules title, so it had the Pure Rules match rule set. RSP isn’t known for his technical skill set. He did fine here but the match itself was just so slow and boring. The ROH Pure Title and its matches have never done much for me and this didn’t change it.

A sloppy hardcore match where all the big spots either didn’t work or looked awful. Flaming doors that held no fire, chairs being thrown in the ring for no reason to only then have the guys slipping on them, and more. Hits didn’t connect and its like Parrow almost had no stamina and couldn’t get most moves to happen.
