AEW

Rampage

Garland, Texas

Dec. 17th, 2021

Eight Man Tag Team Match
Bobby Fish & The SuperKliq (Adam Cole, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (w/Brandon Cutler) vs. CHAOS (Chuck Taylor, Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta) (w/Wheeler Yuta)

This was a really fun tag match given the time it needed. Continued the Elite / Cole vs Orange angle while also giving Trent time to shine in his return match from injury. Thought this also showed Chuck Taylor a lot as well. It had the typical spots and stayed chaotic without really many rules as expected from these teams. Orange doing a springboard to the outside looked fantastic.

Submission Match
Penelope Ford (w/The Bunny) vs. Tay Conti (w/Anna Jay)

Submission matches are hard to do when given a lot of time. Relying heavily on submissions can be hard to do but here it just didn’t work. There was no build up throughout the match of wearing down the other person so they tap. Here it just happened sort of. Having only 6 minutes or so too to do so was a doomed match from the start too.

Ten Man Tag Team Match
Eddie Kingston, The Inner Circle (Ortiz, Santana) & The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) (w/Alex Abrahantes) vs. 2point0 (Jeff Parker & Matt Lee), Daniel Garcia & The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster)

A short fun chaotic match. Pretty much everything you’d think it would be. Santana / Ortiz has usual for me feel like they aren’t being given their time to really shine and put on some clinics against guys like Lucha Bros. Heels winning with a cheap win was fine because the faces don’t lose anything from it.
