AEW

Dynamite

Greensboro, North Carolina

Dec. 22nd, 2021

Singles Match
Orange Cassidy vs. Adam Cole

Really fun opening match. Cole and Orange had good back and forth. Orange showed here just how good he is in ring outside of the character and how smooth his move set is. The ending worked great, gave us Kyle debuting, and we all assumed there would be a dirty ending to continue this feud and not kill Orange.

Singles Match
Wardlow (w/Shawn Spears) vs. Shawn Dean

Another Wardlow squash. Pointless.

AEW TBS Title Tournament Semi Final Match
Ruby Soho vs. Nyla Rose (w/Vickie Guerrero)

A solid womens match held together by Ruby. Nyla was dominate for a good chunk of it and the match during those times just never felt like it was going anywhere. It picked itself together towards the end as Ruby was the right choice but this one just felt underwhelming.

Singles Match
Malakai Black vs. Griff Garrison (w/Brian Pillman Jr.)

Griff got a small bit of offense here but this was mainly used as a push for Malakai in his story still. It wasn’t a complete squash but it was a dominate push.

Six Man Tag Team Match
CM Punk, Darby Allin & Sting vs. The Pinnacle (Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood & MJF)

A fun tag match that moved some stories and got great time. It was pretty much a face all star team here against some of the popular heels. It kept the MJF / Punk feud going with neither really facing off against one another. It also gave Darby and Sting moments to pull all their moves and give Punk the hot tag. FTR filled the team with MJF nicely here trying to keep it more of a traditional style tag match.
