Dynamite

Episode 114

Elmont, New York

Dec. 8th, 2021

Punk going full heel on the mic against MJF and Long Island was good. Some humorous lines and not anything close to what he did in Chicago against MJF but was fun.

Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale Match
Jay Lethal vs. Matt Hardy (w/The Bunny) vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Matt Sydal vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks vs. Wardlow vs. Lio Rush vs. MJF (w/Shawn Spears) vs. Lee Moriarty vs. Dante Martin vs. Lee Johnson

An average battle royal match as royal matches go. Some fun little spots and moments in here though. Also served to further some Team Taz stories and the MJF story as well as a future Wardlow split.

Eight Man Tag Team Match
2point0 (Jeff Parker & Matt Lee) & The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) (w/Daniel Garcia) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) & The Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. & Griff Garrison) (w/Julia Hart)

A fun predictable 8 man tag. Most of the guys got their time in, Luchasarus gets the hot tag as normal. Jungle Boy continues to be the star of the match. Varsity Blondes for me continue to just be fantastic, Pillman in particular.

3.5 / 5

Tag Team Match
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (w/Adam Cole & Brandon Cutler) vs. CHAOS (Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero) (w/Orange Cassidy)

A shockingly super fun tag match here. Rules are ignored so that spot after spot can take place. While you know the Bucks wouldn’t lose they put up a great fight and made it believable that it just might happen. Post match beat down leading to the return of Trent after his spinal surgery was great too and Trent looks fantastic.

4 / 5

Singles Match
Riho vs. Jamie Hayter (w/Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Rebel)

A good back and forth between Riho and Hayter. Riho having to figure out after several close calls how to put Hayter away worked well while also making Hayter look like a great credible threat. This also continues the feud of Riho and Baker going on with Riho continuing to look like a threat for the belt.

3.5 / 5

Singles Match
Bryan Danielson vs. John Silver

The usual dominate style match Danielson has been doing while running through the Dark Order guys. Silver did get random spurts of offense in that made him look good. Danielson of course wins and dominates by the end of the match. Nothing bad just the usual thing he’s been doing.
