least pack an emo punch in new EP, “Folding My Hands, Accepting Defeat”

Florida artist least have released their debut EP, Folding My Hands, Accepting Defeat, through Friend Club Records.

I caught wind of least last year stumbling upon single “Playing House”, and the brain behind least, Taylin, was exceptionally receptive; so much so, that we got to shine the spotlight on their following single, “Another Living Room“. I adored the slow-rolling tracks, with emotionally-strung lyricism capturing angst so concisely.

With the help of Joe Lopez and Royal Hearts‘ Ryan Camuto, least has finally unleashed their debut EP, after signing to Friend Club Records to accompany the release with a cheaply-priced tee and cassette. The EP was headed by single “I’m Your Therapist Now”, a heartstring-pulling barrage to the listener’s feelings. Taylin writes, “An exploration of my journey through the plane that is gender nonconformity; a realization of my inner turmoil that led me on a path to become comfortable in my own skin. This is for all those who are struggling to find themselves, and continue to search no matter the consequence.

Fans of artists like Tiger’s Jaw, Citizen, and Into It. Over It. will embrace least’s take on emo with open hands. Folding My Hands, Accepting Defeat clocks in at a brief 11 minutes, and it could just be the best 11 minutes of your day. Check it out here!
