While there’s light at the end of the tunnel with shows and tours starting to be announced later this year, all the downtime for many bands means that new music and even albums will probably come through more than expected. This is especially true for Korn, who generally release an album every 2-3 years. While the band is keeping busy with a new livestream event (out this Friday), they’ve also been working on a new album – and it seems there’s a little bit more of a timeline of when we might be able to hear it.
In a new interview with Kerrang!, vocalist Jonathan Davis spoke about when fans can expect a new album from the band:
“We just got done writing a record! The band is in different spots all over the place now, too. I’m in Bakersfield, a couple of guys are in LA and a couple of guys are in Nashville. It’s like an act of God to get us all together to do anything. We have to plan that all out! I’m sure there are a bazillion other bands with new music to release, too. In the meantime, let’s just go out, play live and have some fun!”
While there’s no details about when the album might be released, perhaps there might be more of an idea as the rest of the year goes by. Stay tuned.
