King of the Hill is reportedly getting a revival from the series’ original creators and their new animation studio

After years of what-ifs and speculation there are apparently gears turning to make a King of the Hill revival a reality. The series has laid dormant for some years and now that creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge have come together that seems to be what’s happening. Not only are we apparently getting a King of the Hill reboot but we are getting much more from the two. Daniels and Judge have formed a new animation studio by the name of Bandera Entertainment. The company’s goals are to expand the animation medium by exploring concepts not yet seen in an animation show. Bandera Entertainment has a lot in the oven right now including a show for Netflix. Daniels and Judge have not shared any other news on the King of the Hill revival. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Daniels went on to say:

“We were very excited to go into different tones and different styles and try to expand the animation art form,” Daniels explained. “We’re in a golden age for content, right? That’s animation, too. That was one of the things we were talking about in founding the company: “Let’s push animation into all these different genres.”

Bandera Entertainment has more than a dozen projects in the works.
