Jordan Peterson tweeted about Korn’s harrowing song “Daddy” for some reason – and missed the point

Psychologist Jordan Peterson routinely misses the point on many ideas and subjects. From deadnaming actor Elliot Page (which resulted in a Twitter ban until recently) to generally being criticized for his views on there supposedly being a “crisis of masculinity” (bro, please stop), he’s definitely a pariah to many in the world.

In an act of absolute insanity (seriously, good luck even deciphering whatever point Peterson is trying to make), Jordan Peterson decided that RTing a video of Korn’s harrowing song “Daddy” was a good idea, for some reason. The song, which is about the sexual abuse that vocalist Jonathan Davis suffered as a child (and that wasn’t believed, either), is being misconstrued by Peterson as something else entirely. While it’s difficult to even make out what he’s saying (punctuation apparently isn’t a thing for Mr. Peterson here), it’s pretty clear that he’s raised the ire of many, many people with his statement.

As others have mentioned, Peterson posting this is interesting (and not in a good way) because of him constantly talking about men’s mental health. As usual, Peterson misses the fucking point. “Daddy” is about real-life events, straight from the person who experienced it. It’s unsurprising that Peterson doesn’t seem to understand its significance, though. After all, he works with the company DailyWire, who employ such right-wing luminaries as Ben “Dry, Not Moist” Shapiro and Matt Walsh, who labels himself a “theocratic fascist”. Very fine people right here.
