Viral punk / old school hip hop duo Joey Valence & Brae are back at it with another new single in the form of “Can’t Stop Now”. Feeling like a song straight out of the 90’s the duo continues to blend their sound combining genres and old school feels. The duo also kick off their headlining “Punk Tactics” tour next month which as of now is nearly entirely sold out. Check the dates out below.
“CAN’T STOP NOW is a song about being confident and independent,” said Joey Valence & Brae. “We make a lot of jabs and references in the song so it’s very brag heavy but doesn’t take itself seriously. Nobody’s ever too cool for school. It’s the first song after the album, and it continues the idea that we’re just getting started by exploring new and different ideas we haven’t tried before. It samples a song that was directly used in an old SpongeBob episode for a pretty deep cut reference, and we had been trying to find a way to use the song for ages and finally were able to come up with an idea. Felt like the perfect timing.”
