Corey Taylor and Asking Alexandria tease “#intothefire”

With the band’s 5th album being “done” according to the band, popular metalcore band Asking Alexandria could do any number of things with their upcoming material – going back to an older style, blazing new trails entirely, or even something else entirely. Though the band has had guest vocalists on their albums before (even working with Korn’s Jonathan Davis in some capacity), one wonders what kind of vocalists could feature on an Asking Alexandria song. After all, members of Papa Roach and Black Veil Brides have also teased this in recent days.

It looks like you may be able to put Slipknot/Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor on that list, as earlier today the band teased on their FB page, “#intothefire 9/21”. A Danny Worsnop/Corey Taylor sounds fantastic on paper, but would it work? We’ll find out in 2 weeks – whether it’s a supergroup, a collaboration, or something else entirely. There’s even a recent Instagram account that was launched to promote #intothefire, and while it would be stellar to see Corey and AA team up, it could be just about anything. The band’s upcoming, untitled 5th album is the follow-up to 2016’s The Black.
