Acclaimed Swiss metalcore band Breakdown Of Sanity called it a day in 2017 after 4 albums, countless shows, and a fanbase that many bands in the genre would kill to have. Considering those are big accomplishments that many bands never quite reach, there wouldn’t be anything wrong with leaving it at that – but it appears all is not lost for fans who were hoping for a comeback of any sort.
Earlier today, the band teased an announcement for September 25th – two weeks from today – and while it’s unknown exactly what it is right now, it sent Breakdown of Sanity fans into a veritable frenzy. It does indeed look like the band is up to something, and probably not one of those “hey, we’re releasing our back catalogue on vinyl” announcements, either.
Of course, the band did hint at a possible reunion and/or new material upon their 2017 breakup announcement, so maybe this isn’t such a shock. Still, this is (very likely) exciting news for the band, who managed to carve out a large space for themselves in a crowded genre with albums like Perception and 2011 fan favorite Mirrors.
