One listen to Fire From The Gods’ debut album, Narrative, and listeners will immediately get a sense of what the rising alternative metal band are trying to accomplish. Their mission is clear – to create striking melodic yet heavy alt-metal with lots of hip-hop and even reggae influences. That ethos is clear on their huge single “Excuse Me”, which at the time of this writing, has racked up close to 6 million Youtube views, among other accolades.
While FFTG may be a fairly accessible band, all things considered, they’re also a unit with a message. Luckily, we were able to have a lengthy chat with vocalist AJ Channer, who revealed his love of reggae music, and how he feels the music industry is shifting. Have a listen to the audio below.
