Containing members of State Faults and Strike To Survive, California alt-noise rock band Slow Bloom should not go unnoticed with their newest EP, Hex Hex Hex. Released in January on No Sleep Records, the 5-track album showcases a unique and highly engaging noise-rock sound that’s also steeped in classic alternative rock influences like Dinosaur Jr, Drive Like Jehu, and plenty more. In other words, it’s really fucking good and comes highly recommended by us. The best part is that the EP adds plenty of new influences while not being too dissimilar to State Faults and Strike To Survive, so it provides a nice sort of jumping-off point.
