Impact Wrestling – Victory Road 2023 (Wrestling Review)

Impact Wrestling

Victory Road

Sept. 8th, 2023

White Plains, New York

Singles Match
Guido Maritato vs. Alan Angels

The feed cut out for half this and even then I knew it was a dud.

.5 / 5

Tag Team Match
ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) vs. The Most Professional Wrestling Gods (Brian Myers & Moose)

This was a fine match. Good action and seeing Moose go from main event to pre show is comical.

3 / 5

Impact X-Division Title Match
Lio Rush (c) vs. KUSHIDA

This had its moments but I just wasn’t huge on it at all.

2 / 5

Impact Knockouts Tag Team Title Match
MK Ultra (Killer Kelly & Masha Slamovich) (c) vs. Gisele Shaw & Savannah Evans (w/Jai Vidal)

MK Ultra is a solid team here even if this is a case of no one needing to take a pin.

3 / 5

Singles Match
Crazzy Steve vs. Black Taurus

This was fine. It was more of a story of seeing what Crazy Steve would do but it worked.

2.75 / 5

Impact Digital Media Title vs. Career Match
Kenny King (w/Sheldon Jean) (c) vs. Tommy Dreamer

Another fine match. Dreamer getting a title win in 2023 makes no sense but I can’t imagine he remains a long term champ.

2.75 / 5

Singles Match
Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo

A good match here as these two work together well. This should help push Grace back towards the top.

3 / 5

Anything Goes Match
PCO vs. Bully Ray

This is just a hard hitting brawl. Nothing special but just some craziness given who was in here.

3 / 5

Impact World Tag Team Title Match
The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) (c) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)

This was a great tag match minus the ending. Two teams working together great but that lackluster finish hurt it some.

3.25 / 5

Impact Knockouts World Title Match
Trinity (c) vs. Alisha Edwards (w/Eddie Edwards)

This was fine. A bit over the top but it’ll lead to a mixed tag match.

2.5 / 5

Singles Match
Josh Alexander vs. Steve Maclin

Joshs return match against the guy he didn’t beat. It was fine, not his best, but likely will push him back right into the title scene.
