If Not For Me prove they’re one of metalcore’s more exciting bands with new single, “Dearly Deceased”

Having only released their debut EP back in 2018, Pennsylvania metalcore band If Not For Me are becoming a notable property in rather short order. Part of Theoria Records’ burgeoning roster, the band is quickly gaining stream with impressive numbers for a fresh band from the scene.

On October 22nd, they’ll be releasing a new song, “Dearly Deceased”, that carries a strong message. And we’re especially stoked to bring it to you a day early as well! You can really feel the passion and emotion dripping from this track, which vocalist Patrick Glover explains below.

About the new song, the band had this to say:

“I wrote Dearly Deceased from the perspective of someone who decided to take their own life. Now he’s seeing all this mourning for him, but he wonders where all these people were when he was alive. He more or less lashes out in anger at these people because he feels like they failed him, and they only see him now because he’s gone. Dearly Deceased is easily one of my favorite songs lyrically, and the name of the entire record actually comes from a lyric in this song.” – Patrick Glover – Vocals
